Shepherd’s Pie

Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients : Beef, potatoes,peas,carrots,worcestershire sauce,onions,garlic,soyasauce,tomatoe ketchup,salt and pepper.Cheese to garnish.

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add potatoes, and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes; drain, and return to pan.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook ground beef with onion, red pepper, and garlic until beef is evenly brown. Stir in beef broth, ketchup, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and curry powder. Bring to a boil, and simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Add tomatoes, peas and carrots. Cook until thickened; season with salt and pepper. Spoon into a casserole dish.
3. Preheat oven  Add a layer of cooked potatoes followed by a layer of  meat mixture. Sprinkle top with shredded cheese.
4. Take out of oven after 3 to 5 minutes,sprinkle with cheese serve hot after cheese has melted .

SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE

INGREDIENTS

Spaghetti
Red Wine
Minced Beef 
Onion
Tomatoe Puree
Whole Tomatoes
Olive Oil
Rosemary
Parmesan Cheese

Boil water and add spaghetti cook until spaghetti is soft  and keep aside.

Pour olive oil in pan when hot add onions ,rosemary and cook until onions are transparent .

Add minced beef and cook until beef is all most brown in color add wine and cook slowly.

Add tomato puree and smashed tomatoes cook until raw flovour of tomatoes goes off.

Serve with spaghetti  and  garnish with grated cheese.

Burma Bazar was established in the year 1969 for Tamil refuges who fled Burma during the 1960’s.The land for Burma Bazar was set aside for the welfare of refugees from Burma. BRAHMOS SUPERSONIC MISSILE

BRAHMOS

The name Brahmos is formed by fusing together the names Brahmaputra river in India  and Moskva of Russia.It is a short range supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarine ,ships,aircraft or land.

It is a joint venture between India and Russia called Brahmos Aerospace.Russia supplied 65% of the components including its engine and radar. Its is used by the Indian airforce,navy and army.

The engine is powered ins two stages by solid rocket booster fuel in the first stage and liquid based fuel in the second stage. It has a range of 450 km. The length of the missile is 28 feet and it weighs in at 2500-3000 kilos .The speed of the missile is Mach 2.8 to 3.0  with thermal guidance.BRAHMOS  is the worlds fastest anti ship cruise missile .

Tests

BRAHMOS  was test fired and struck a free floating ship piercing it above the water line and  and destroying it completely.

5 September   created a world reecord for being the first cruise missile to be tested in supersonic speeds . BRAHMOS  became the only supersonic missile having an advanced capability of striking  a selected target from among a group of targets,providing the user with a precision hit.

FETA CHEESE

                                                  Feta Cheese

Feta is a cheese made in  Greece.  It is a pickled cheese which has a tangy and salty taste.

Feta is made mostly in Central Mainland Greece.

70% of the cheese consumed in Greece is Feta Cheese.

Feta is made by combining Goat's milk and Sheep's milk.

After making the cheese it is allowed to mature for 2 months and is sold after allowing it to soak in brine solution.

Feta has got a low fat content of 21%.

Feta is mostly  white in colour and has got a creamy, crumbly and grainy texture.

Feta can be used in salads and also along with breads .

Production

Milk is pasteurized and allowed to cool until it reaches 35*c then rennet is added and it is allowed to react with the milk which turns it into curd and later into cheese after allowing all the water to drain.

Later, it is treated with salt and allowed to mature for at least 2 months during this waiting period the cheese gains its salty and tangy taste. The texture also reaches a creamy and crumbly state which is the ideal texture for Feta cheese.

Only cheese produced within EUROPE can be called Feta.


Feta is rich in Magnesium,Folic Acid and Vitamins A and K.
Feta contains Probiotics 'good bacteria' which is very good for the circulatory and immune system .

Ingredients

Paneer
Butter
Kasuri Methi
Onions
Ginger
Tomatoes

Spices
Chili Powder
Garam Masala
Bayleaf
Cashew Nuts
Curd
[Optional]Cooking Oil

Method

Grind to fine paste:Onion,Ginger and  Cashew nuts

Blanch tomatoes and make a puree.

Heat butter on medium flame add onion paste and bay leaf cook until onions turn brown in color

Add spices and tomato puree cook until raw flavor is gone.

Add Panner and still gently on reduced flame.

Serve hot after garnishing with grated cheese  [or] coriander leaves.
