Denali National Park is located in central Alaska and stretches for about 6 million acres across Alaska in a region known as Alaska Range.
The highest mountain in North America called "Denali " is located in the Alaskan Mountain Range.The mountain is made of 'granite' and this ensures that the mountain does not erode quickly due to harsh weather. Mount Denali is located in a place where the North American and Pacific tectonic plates meet.
Denali National Park has terrain which is made up of rock sediments that are as old as 400 million to 1 billion years ago.The rocks are made up of sediments from ocean environments.
Denali National Park is home to variety of animals and birds.The animals include bears, caribou,sheep,wolves,coyotes,squirrels,beavers,hares,red foxes and wolverines.The birds include swans,warblers,grosbeaks and waxwings.
Fishes include salmon and trout found in the many lakes and glacier formations through out the park.
